Ania is co-owner of Oko and has over 15 years of experience cutting, coloring and styling hair. She has trained extensively with R+co as a Global Educator since 2015 and travels to educate in salons and host workshops across the US and Canada. She has assisted backstage at NYFW for over 6 seasons on shows such as Anna Sui, Theory and Thom Browne working with some of the industry’s top editorial stylists such as Garren, Thom Priano, Holly Smith.
Her signature look is a “front focused” layered cut with a soft sweeping fringe, face framing and effortless layering complimented by soft, dimensional color. Ania adores cutting curly and wavy hair to embrace your natural texture into the hair of your dreams.

Ambre has been operating as a stylist for ten years and joined the Oko team in 2021. Inspired by the world around her, she finds influence everywhere– from music to nature to cool back alleys. When not cutting hair or developing her craft to increase her expertise, Ambre can be found out on the dance floor or at her home DJ station practicing spinning the 1's and 2's.
Starting her professional journey at Trombley Salon, Ambre has since worked at Hotel Venus Salon and Smith and Davis Salon where she has honed her cutting techniques through shape, movement, ergonomics, and inspiration.
Ambre's ethos is that passion, dedication, and continuation to craft are central to exemplary work. Hair is more than something that exists as part of our bodies – but can be beautiful, expressive, functional, and individually specific for each client.

Brad has been doing hair for a real long time. Whether he's wielding the scissor, razor, or clipper, his specialties include short cuts, curly hair, bobs, and razor cutting. Brad was accredited with the "Best Curly Haircut" by Chicago Magazine in 2008. In addition, he enjoys helping people connect their haircuts to their identity.
Brad's color-work is natural, soft and minimal. He strives to achieve the most natural effect and preserve the hair’s integrity.
Brad is co-owner of Oko and is a cosmetic formulator specializing in natural and biodegradable ingredients. When he is not at the shop you can find him enjoying the outdoors, reading a book with his cats, and making music.

With a decade of experience under her belt, Caro began her love affair with beauty at a young age. She had her heart set on her career and completed cosmetology school straight after graduating high school. A Chicago suburbs native, Caro has years of experience not only working behind the chair as a busy and talented stylist, but also managing a few bustling barber shops in the northwest suburbs. As a thoughtful and detail oriented individual, Caro has developed a keen eye for identifying your personal style and helping express that with your look. In her personal time, you can find Caro enjoying long bike rides, tending to her extensive house plant collection, and diving into a great book on her porch. She loves to hunt for treasures and thoroughly enjoys a good thrift haul.
Caro specializes in cutting and is a master at working with all lengths and textures, from straight to wavy and is exceptional at curly & coily hair. She is passionate about barbering and grooming, and excels at fades and beard shaping. Her skillset includes creating short, textured pixies, mullets and shags; as well as precision bobs, and soft, long layers.

Her color specialities include creative color placement and she is passionate about double process blondes, vibrant and vivid color transformations.

Nicole Tenerowicz

Nicole decided to elevate her career by moving to Chicago in 2021. She has a lifelong passion for art, fashion and anything creative.
Licensed since 2010, she furthered her education by traveling to New York City to become a Deva Inspired Stylist. Having curly/textured hair herself, she wanted to be able to show clients how to embrace their natural texture. Although she loves cutting curly hair, Nicole also loves sharp bobs, funky mullets, textured shags, and tight fades.
Working as an Artistic Educator for Matrix Haircare, she has specifically worked in color education and media photography. So bring on the color! If you can dream it, she can probably achieve it! Nicknamed The Highbleachtess, Nicole loves color corrections, bleach and tones and rainbow colors, but also can paint beautiful balayage and natural colors as well. Her work has been featured on numerous websites and has been published in Pattern Magazine, and herself in Vogue.
Nicole is an avid motorcyclist, and has a Harley and a vintage Honda. She is a self proclaimed horse girl, and competed with her horses most of her life. Nicole also loves cats, so please feel free to share all of your cat photos during your appointment.

Mitra approaches her work as an artist and treats hair as a collaboration between stylist and subject. When you're in her chair, she looks beyond your hair to see the full picture: your personality, features, and your style. She understands that hair is a part of the whole, and it must work into your lifestyle as much as it can tie everything together. Mitra has a penchant for natural texture and every type of curl pattern as a curly-haired gal herself. Her motto is that life is too short to live with dull hair; this is why her clients trust her guidance and come to her for transformative service. Meticulously detailed, Mitra is all about enhancing natural beauty, so whether it's a fringe, shag, or pixie – you will leave her chair looking like the best version of yourself. Drawing inspiration from her vast knowledge of the '60s and 70's music and film, Mitra effortlessly blends those vintage looks with modern techniques and styles.
